I need some help! I think I've been mixing my son's bottles incorrectly to slowly switch him to whole milk.
I normally make a 6oz bottle with 6oz Water and 3 scoops of formula. Now with Milk I've tried 2oz milk 4oz water and the 3 scoops formula. I'm pretty sure I'm not doing this right - anyone help??
Re: How do I mix formula with whole milk?
Are you trying to introduce milk gradually? If so, just mix the formula like you normally would (one scoop to two oz water) and then mix the milk with the formula. So, if you're doing a six oz bottle, maybe start with four oz formula (made with four oz water and two scoops of powder) and two oz milk. Then gradually increase.
UNLESS you're doing it this way because your baby is underweight, is that the case?
Exactly. Make a half bottle of formula then add the other half with whole milk.
4oz formula + 4 oz milk.
You should only use 2 scoops. You don't add a scoop for the 2 oz of milk.
