I just got my first pregnancy-related judgmental comment at spin class. A woman asked me how far along I was. I told her and mentioned that I was having twins. She then says, "Oh, is it ok for you to be doing this? How long can you keep it up? Did your doctor ok it?" I'm not going full-out. I'm really responsible about it and was spinning for years before getting pregnant. Some people!
Re: Judgmental Comments
So what did you say?
People really don't understand that exercise is good for you while pregnant. It's not really judgmental. It's pure ignorance.

This. Some people seem to think you are supposed to sit around for nine months like a fragile egg.
Ha ha, when I saw a young girl (13 yrs old) I knew at the pool, she said, "you're swimming? You can't do that you'll drown the baby!"
Ugg. Dumb lady.
Good for you for still going at it! I ran a 5K at 28w, and I got a ton of odd looks. (I did look much farther along with two.)
Thankfully, no one said anything to face. Probably because I passed them all. Mwahahaha.
Just kidding. I will say that staying so active throughout my pregnancy made recovery a breeze. I had a c/s, and I was back running by two weeks with most of the weight gone very soon. Keep an eye on your temperature and hydration, but the longer you can stay active, the better!
HAHAHAHA- tell her you got the baby a snorkle. So cute.
I wouldn't take offense - like the PP mentioned, it is more ignorance that anything else. It's kind of like the antiquated idea of "eating for two" - it's been shown that it is unnecessary and excessive, yet women still do it.
Trust your body - it will let you know when it is time to slow down.
I was running until I was about 22 weeks (half marathons and 5Ks) and still workout (mostly on the elliptical) and plan to through delivery and I've gotten alot of comments.
I usually respond by educating their ignorance! "Yes, I am still working out. It's actually very healthy. Did you know it helps the flow of blood to the baby?"
DH sometimes jokes that I am never "sitting on my eggs" lol!
