"take it easy..."

After a weekend full of braxton hicks contractions, I call my doc yesterday morning to find out if, at 26 weeks, this was normal. Finally got a call back this morning and the doc says I have to stay off my feet and take it easy for the next couple of days. My dad's response was "Isn't that bedrest?" My dad is such a smart cookie! I'm all about take it easy for a couple days, but I'm supposed to go to Tuscaloosa Thursday for a few days. I have an apt with the doc Thursday morning and he's supposed to let me know if I can go. Hope I get to go and really hope I don't go even more stir crazy that I already have.

I had a lot of Braxton Hicks around the same time as you with DD#1.  One night I even thought we were going to have to go to L&D!  I was also told to take it easy, but I never really stopped working or went on official bedrest.  On nights that they were pretty frequent I was told to take two tylenol, drink a glass of water, lie in a warm bath for a while, and then get out and lay on my left side.  That usually would always make them calm down.

That sucks.  BH are no fun.  I hope they calm down enough for you to go to Tuscaloosa!

I think what sucks the most, is I'm just now getting energy and motivation to do stuff around the house. My DH and parents got the nursery cleaned out and crib put up, so I'm really wanting to go put clothes in drawers and decorate, but nope, here I sit. DH wont even let me put a load of clothes in the wash. =( But he did say I could wash the 5 cups in the sink. lol
