Does anyone have experience with these? I'm trying to decide on a sling for a newborn and I'm tempted by the free offer. But I really want something that will work well for BWing a newborn and infant, so I rather spend money if it means a sling that will work better.
Re: Seven Slings?
I would not use one with an infant.
I would recommend one from sleepingbaby.net They start around $25, will be more comfortable for you, and Jan (the woman who makes them) is very helpful if you have any questions.

Be very careful you select the right size if you order one. Their return policy is terrible (you have to pay extra for the priviledge of returning one at all and even then they'll only take them back for a short time, like a month I think). IMO, between the return fee and the shipping cost, you're paying more than the thing is worth.
I thought mine was the wrong size, but now that DS is bigger, it fits fine. I guess I just didn't feel comfortable doing the cradle hold when he was tiny. Now that he's a little bigger and can move his head, I'm comfortable using it.
I think I will probably use mine some, as its quicker on and off than my other mei tai carrier, but if I had it to do over again I would have spent the extra $10 to get one of the ring slings from Sleeping Baby. They seem like a much better product (and more versatile, since they're adjustable).
I'd also vote no - not only are these cheaply made but the sizing for pouches is very hard to get right. They aren't a great choice for newborns since they aren't adjustable.
I'd second the sleepingbaby recommendation - a ring sling is a much better choice and for only a bit more money, you are getting a MUCH better product!
