first day back at work... please tell me it gets better

Today was so hard.  I didn't even get to see C before I left because he was still sleeping.  And tonight I only got to see him for 2 hours and he was cranky for a lot of it (normal evening fussy time).  He was asleep by 6:40 and I can't stop crying.  I miss him so much.  I feel like he is only going to be this little once and I'm missing so much of it.  I hate being a working mom

Huge hugs! It does get better! You will still have sad days, but somedays you will feel guilty because it feels good to go to work and have adult time!

Big ((hugs)). It def gets better & you may eventually even enjoy your adult away time at some point. Do you have an option to telework at all? I do it 2x a week for the 1st week of our pay period & 1x during the 2nd week + have a regular day off the Friday of the 2nd week (I work 9 hour days to get that extra day off every other week). I find that teleworking & having the alternate work schedule allows me to see my little munchkin more often, which makes for a happy baby & mama. If you have any of those options, I highly recc them. (((hugs))) The first few days are really difficult, but the mornings, evenings and weekends are that much better! I know how tough it is when your LO is fussy for the little time you see him, but there will be good days ahead, I promise! Hang in there!
