I am. I recently switched to it. I took Effexor for several years after my first, and that is what cured my PPD. I switched because Lexapro is safer during pregnancy (TTC #2). After a rough adjustment of about 4 weeks, I can say it is working really well with few side effects. What kind of encouragement do you need? Hope that it will get better or adjustment to the medication itself?
I'm hoping that it will help with the constant anxiety. I've never been on any kind of medication and I'm scared that it won't work or I won't be able to go off it. Dr. prescribed 10mg dosage. I'm hoping that it will work for the PPD I feel and that I'll be able to get off it at some point.
Give it a few weeks to work. It helped me, and has helped a lot of other people. If after 3-4 weeks you don't feel better, talk to your doctor.
Now is not the time to worry about getting off meds. You've barely started. Give your body at least 6 months for your hormones to re-adjust, then think about it. You'll be fine.
