  • I really don't give her anything off our plates, because at this point I don't feel like what we eat is appropriate for her.  I make her own food.  So far she feeds herself- green beans, avocado, banana, peaches, oven bakes sweet potato fries.  I also do some purees but she much prefers to feed herself. I use the term feed loosely because mostly she just squishes, tries to get some in her mouth and ends up dropping it..lol

  • At 6 months when we started I wasn't really feeding him off my plate because I wanted to follow the 3 day rule for allergies and take it one new food at a time. So I did bananas, avocado, baked apple, sweet potato fries, pears, steamed broccoli, steamed carrots and so on. Now that he eats a wide variety of food he gets what we eat as long as it's healthy.

I personally don't want him having any sweets till later I just don't see the need for it same goes for the not so healthy food we eat. Now that he can have raw fruit and veggies it's easier as well. For lunch today he had some pear slices and apple slices with a cheese stick. But say for dinner if we make steak fajitas he has the veggies we cook up and some steak.

  • ^ How did you do the baked apples?

I tried to do this the other day and baked them for about 40 min and they still weren't very soft. Either I didn't put enough water in, or the temperature wasn't hot enough.
