how long before you went into active labor or your water broke?

I had my appt this morning (due tomorrow) - I was 2-3cm, 70% effaced, -1 station, cervix very soft. She stripped my membranes and said she will induce on Thursday if no progress by then. I'd rather not be induced, but would be curious what other people have experienced. Thanks!!

p.s. This means my little boy should be here by Friday - yay!!

Stripped Monday, lost MP Tue-water broke Sunday morning. Don't think it had anything to do w/ membranes.

With DD I had them stripped and went into labor 24 hrs later

Mine were stripped Thursday and it did nothing for me. (She only did it because I will be induced for medical reasons and she wants me to go on my own.)

Mine were stripped last Tuesday. I was 2 cm and 80%. Needless to say I'm still waiting. Hopefully it works better for you then it did for me.

I had mine stripped at 38.5 weeks and 39.5 weeks with my son-   didn't go into labor until 40 w 4 days (6 days after the 2nd stripping).   It won't help unless other stuff is going on down there to facilitate things.

I got mine stripped on Friday morning and I am still waiting. She said if I didn't go into labor within 48 hours then the stripping didn't work.

I had mine stripped Friday morning because I was having contractions all night & I was still only @ 2cm.. but Im still here! And contractions stopped yesterday! I hope it does better for you!

Had mine stripped Thurs. Have felt like $hit since then. Lost mucus plug Sat. Here I sit... not contracting.

I've had my membranes stripped 3 time in the last three weeks and the most it's ever done is cause some spotting.  I hope it is more effective for you!

Had mine stripped on Wednesday, and still here.  I've been trying nipple stimulation, sex, walking, and acupressure, have had contractions most of yesterday and this morning varying from 15-5 minutes apart, but not consistent and now they're getting lighter.  Good luck!

My membranes were stripped on a Weds. and it was the following Weds. that I was in labor and had my baby. I don't think the sweep did much for me though, I really think it was DH and I scrumping that morning before heading to the commissary.

My membranes were stripped Monday morning. Contractions worsened that night, were awful all day Tuesday and my girl was born Wednesday evening.

Stripped Monday morning at 1cm, water broke Tuesday morning. I never went into "active" labor and had a c-section because of risk of infection after 15 hours of contractions/broken water and only being 2cm.

After water broke I went into active labor pretty fast due to the pitocin. It took 18 hours after water broke for Tyler to arrive.

my membranes were stripped thursday mid-morning (i was already 75% effaced and 3 cm), lost my mucus plug friday afternoon into saturday, water broke sunday mid-morning, labor started sunday mid-afternoon, LO came monday at noon-ish.
