Kr8ive spellings...

Here are some of the fun names DD had to write out for her Valentine's cards. Can you imagine if she forgot the list and we had to spell the names without help? I guess I just sympathize with these kids since 80% of my Valentines had the name 'Aaron' on them when I was a kid.

Keirzdyn (girl)

Mileigh (boy)

Chais (pronounced Chase, a girl)

Kaideyn (boy)

Maddysen

Carsyn (girl)

Don't get me wrong, I realize I gave DD a "boy" name, but at least it's easy to spell.

  • Yowsa.

I was watching Say Yes to the Dress the other night and one of the girls' names was Duvae - pronounced like duvet, and her parents did in fact name her after the comforter.

  • Geez.  I always find it interesting to watch Sprout and see the names that pop up, especially days like today where it's constantly scrolling VDay messages.
  • I can't even pronounce some of those name....let alone spell them correctly! Indifferent Woof!

I see those names and I immediately assume the parents must have been 16 y/o HS dropouts.  I'm probably a terrible person for making such assumptions but really, what well adjusted, mature adult would do that to a child??

    LMAO!

  • And these are all in 1 class? Sheesh.

  • Can you pronounce the first one for me? Is it Kersdin (two syllables and sounds a lot like Kirsten) or Carisdin (three syllables and sounds stupid)?

But seriously if people have to ask questions like this - DON'T NAME YOUR CHILD THAT! And what is up with random letters added? Madison with two 'D's. Chase with a missing 'e' and errant 'i' thrown in? And don't get me started on Dypshyts who use random 'Y's to make a name more "girly."

BTW, you should take this list to the Baby Names board. They love shyt like this.

The comforter that she was conceived on, maybe?  Gag.

And FYI Warrior, I know far more girls with A's name than I do boys.

  • How did you get hold of my potential baby name list for this baby?

Seriously, those are terrible.  I'm all for different names as long as they are real names with legitimate spellings.

  • Yes, this is all in one class.

    Keirzdyn = Keers-den

Surprisingly,we have met more male A's than female.

  • Ditto sistrkate- I know more A's that are female than male.

    Those spellings are ridiculous.
