Funny conversation with a student re: valentine's day

Valentine's day came with my yr 9 class today (age 13yrs). This is the conversation I had with one of my boys:

Him: I hate valentines day

Me: Why do you hate valentine's day (expectating some general answer about it being stupid or no one loving him)

Him: because my parents make me go to bed early.

I had to stifle my laughter and make sympathetic noises. But really I thought, "Hahaha that's awesome I'm gonna make LO go to bed early too."
