fever & teething?

Max has been teething again. He woke up with a fever this morning, 100.7. It went away after his morning nap. He was fine all day long. Tonight before bed his tempature went back up and it was at 101.3. Could it be from teething or something else?

Alex tends to run a fever off and on when he's teething. Does Max have any other symptoms? Our pedi said there are a lot of cold-like viruses going around with fevers in the 100-102 range and lots of nasal gunk.

We all had some type of cold thing going on last weekend. It didn't turn into anything, just some sneezing and nasal gunk...no fever. His gums have been swollen, he's crabby and drooling a lot. He just hasn't had a fever with teething before. I gave him some motrin before bed.

In our experience, teething fevers have been pretty low grade - 99, maybe 100s, but not higher than that. I'd bet that he's got a cold or a virus going on. Poor guy! Motrin can't hurt, though. Hope he's feeling better soon!

Max's fever was back up again this morning, 101.1. We're going into the dr later this morning.
