Fused placenta?

How many of you found out that you did have a fused placenta? Just wondering how common it is. There are so many interesting things that go on with multiples, it's crazy!!

Sorry for all of the boring questions! I am learning so much as I go along, and you ladies are the only real life MoMs I can ask all of these things.

They have told me that there is one placenta, but they cant tell me if they are ID or Frat with a fused placenta. Is it that common to have this happen?

My girls placentas fused around the end of the second trimester. I know someone who's Di/Di daughters fused so early that they all thought her girls were mono/di until they were born very obviously not identical!

My boys' placentas fused in the 2nd trimester as well.

My boys placenta also was fused but I don't know when it did.  My whole pregnancy, they thought that I had one placenta but when it was tested after my boys were born, they found that at some point, it had been two.

Mine was fused the whole time too, as near as they could tell. They tested it somehow and there were indeed 2 placentas, but our girls are ID.
