Re: Sibling names for Lincoln

  • I actually really like Graeme. It's a traditional spelling and there's nothign wrong with it. I also really love Sullivan nn Sully. ON the girl's side, I love Nora and Maren from your list. Greta is nice, too.   As for ideas, try out https://nymbler.com if you haven't already. Good luck trying to find that perfect name. :)

Thanks for your advice. I have done nymbler. I think that is why we still have such a long list : )

As for Leighton. I really don't like the spelling Layton, maybe it is the Y thing again. Who knows ; )

     Thanks again!

From your lists, I like Dawson (which is weird, cause I don't normally go for those types of names), Nolan, Davis, and Sullivan, Greta, Nora, and Maren.

I have a friend who has a son named Lincoln and a daughter named Lucy. They go nicely together, but I think Lucy might be out of your realm of likes.

  • I like Adler McCray.  Also, I know it's not on your list but I know a boy sib-set who are Lincoln and Holden.

  • I like Lincoln!

Boys:  My favorites are Sullivan (this name has really grown on me), Sebastian, Dawson, Miles, and Graham.  I like Griffin, but it kind of sounds like it rhymes with Lincoln.  I strongly dislike McCray, McGregor (I hate Mc-names), Grady (makes me think "grody" every time), and Nolan.

Some other ideas.... Dominic, Donovan, Abram, Simon, Isaac.

Girls: I only really like Nora.  I hate boys names for girls, so I strongly dislike Saylor, Gibson, Emerson, Finley, and Madigan.

  • I like Graeme & Millicent best.

I think McCray or McGregor would work best as middle names to avoid the McName trend, but still honor your family. Of the two McGregor flows better with your last name ending in Y.

If it were me I'd eliminate all the names ending with -n to avoid a rhyming sound with Lincoln.

  • I love Harrison Miles and Nora Maren. I actually like both of those names flipped too. I think they have good flow and all four combos sound good with Lincoln to me.

  • i think Lincoln would sound good with...

    Girls:

    Leah

    Evelyn

    Charlotte

    Emery

    Annalise

    Victoria

    Vivian

    Boys:

    Graham

    Camden

    Anderson

    Brooks

    Brody

    Brock

  • Girls like Everly more than Everleigh. Gibson is not a good girl's name.

    Boys like Nolan and Miles.

You've got a lot of good choices and some NMS ones.

  • I don't like the Mc-names for a first name. It would just be a pain to spell- "M, lowercase c, uppercase C, r-a-y". That would get annoying fast.

For boys, I like Sawyer, Nolan, Grady, Christian, and Liam. Graeme, though NMS, is pretty good too.

Girls-Nora, Maren, Leighton. The rest....not so much.

  • When I read the post title, I totally thought Lincoln & Miles would be cute -- and it's on your list! Smile

For a boy, I like Miles Sullivan.

For a girl, I think Lincoln & Millie (Millicent) would be great! Perhaps Millicent Isobel (Millie Bel for a family nn - not for public use).

  • Thanks so much for the great ideas and feedback! I have cut some names and added some, but the list is getting smaller!

     Thanks!
