Montreal questions?
Hello, just popping over from the Seattle board. Someone over there suggested I post here, since they know a lot of people from Boston that drive up to Montreal.
Any tips for a vacation to Montreal? We are thinking of going up for the grand prix in June, but want to also have some fun things to do with our then 18 month old. (We would drive up from visiting family in Boston) Anything must see on the way?
Any tips on where to stay? We know prices are crazy, but since we would have a car we don't have to be downtown. But I think we need to get to a subway to get to the circuit. Any place outside of downtown that still has reasonable subway access?

Not sure what your price range is for hotels, but we've had good luck with places downtown. For example, have paid $120 at the Ritz--no kidding! Also LOVE the Omni hotel--they are great with kids, service, and more.
There's a an art museum on the same street as these hotels that our daughter enjoyed (us too), not too big, and had a pop art exhibit at the time. There's a nice green house on the water, and the waterfront in general is pleasant to walk around--you might see live music. There is a jazz festival in the summer that is amazing--we took our little one with us and strolled around enjoying food, art, and music.
