I just asked this ? On Friday and they said studies are now saying not to do it before cause it may make shots less effective. And I'm glad I didn't cause when I got there they made sure I hadn't given them anything. I gav it to them an hour after shots and they were fine. Still are. But yes .4 ml

I would not give them anything before -- and i would google and print out the new studies showing that it might effect the efficacy of the shots -- and show it to your doctor.
i only give meds after the shots if they get a fever.... otherwise they get nothing.
