I am going to be a first time mom come June and I am so overwhelmed by all the choices that I am feeling paralized!

Every time I go to a diaper website I confidently fill my cart and then panic and back out and end up buying nothing.  

I really want to start building my supply and prepare for baby, but I am just at a loss.  So, my question...

All you lovely experienced cloth diaper mommies, if you could build a "cart" and fill it with diapers for a new baby what what be inside?

Honestly I wish I did the trial through Jillian's Drawers.  I bought a huge variety, but at least 1/2 of it didn't work at all for us so I had to sell it off.

I love prefolds & covers for newborns. If you're open to some PFs in your NB stash I rec Green Mountain Diapers organic cloth-eez. PFs are easy to wash & dry, which is good b/c NBs go through so many diapers! GL!

Go to Cottonbabies.com and buy 6-12 small and xs bamboo fitteds in their clearence section. They are the best nb diaper in my opinion and are discontinued, they have a few left on the site. A lot of people like KLO;s but they didn't fit my guy. In addition, I would get 2 dozen prefolds and 3 covers.

For once your LO is out of the newborn stage, I'd do a mix. I'd do a trial at jillians drawers or Nells Natural Baby to see what works best for your LO.  

If I could pick my stash I'd have:

24 prefolds

5 covers ( 2 Wool, 2 Fleece, 1 PUL)

2 Snappi's

12 OS AIO's (We love BG Elementals and BottomBumpers) 

6 Fitteds for night (GM's, B4, or Piddle Poodle)

Some hemp and bamboo doublers and inserts

For a newborn.....

 I'd do 2 dozen Green Mountain Diaper prefolds, 2 snappi's, 4 size 1 Thirsties duo covers, 6 BG XS or S, 6 KL0's.   I'd also toss in some cute wool covers for good measure!

Infant........

I'd do 18-24 pockets- a mix of BG4.0's and FB perfect size mediums.  I'd also get 6 BG Elementals for when I want a trimmer diaper.  I'd get 3 Sbish fitteds and cute wool covers for night-time.

I have a NB in cloth and have a huge variety but so far like PFs and fitteds with a Bummis Super Brite cover best. DD is tiny and they work great on her.

I like BG xs and PF for when the baby was smaller. Now I use BG smalls, their pockets 4.0 for night and my oldest wears their elements.

Ditto PPs - for newborn stage (up to 12-15lbs)

2 dozen orange edge GMD prefolds

1 dozen of either BG xs/s, KL0s, or yellow edge GMD workhorse fitteds

6-8 Thirsties duo wraps size 1 covers

after that do a trial for one size diapers
