I got the results of my PET scan today and I have a lymph node in my chest that is popping up on the scan. It is behind my lungs and next to my aorta. It's not very big (1 cm) but they are going to biopsy it because of my cancer history. When they biopsy it I will be put out and a chest tube will be put in due to the location.
I've been so strong through the past cancer and IF and I have to tell you I am scared as hell about this. I think the main reason is the location. A pulmonologist took a look at my scan today and is taking it to a conference tomorrow to share with others. I will hear from my doc by Thursday to see what the next step is (a biopsy next week is what I'm guessing).
I need all the prayers you can give ladies.
Re: Update on me...not just a screw
I'm so sorry. I hope the biopsy shows it's bengin. My thoughts are with you
I'm so sorry your PET scan came back like that....you are one tough cookie and a model of strength to us.
My thoughts are with you--I hope further testing shows there is nothing to worry about.
