We are getting married in April. It is a very smal simple wedding so I don't want to spend 80-100 on a veil and then even more for the tiara, Does anyone know of a good etsy page or somewhere else to get these. THANKS
When I got married I too thought $150.00+ for a piece of tulle was a bit of a rip off.
I bought a Simplicity sewing pattern (they're very simple to make) a couple yards of tulle (very inexpensive) and a small, ready made tiara from Michael's wedding section. I think they sell them at Joann's and Hobby Lobby too.
I think we spent $50.00 tops.
If you don't want to DIY you can also look on craig's list or ebay for someone selling theirs.
They had some pre-made basic ones at Michaels and most other craft stores. They even have some tiaras. I know that they are way cheaper than you'd pay at a wedding dress shop.
I borrowed mine from my aunt...so it was free. Do you have anyone that you can borrow from?
Check out the wedding consignments shops in your town as well as craft stores as the pp mentioned. There is also ebay, which is where i got my headpiece.

When I got married a couple of years ago, I couldn't get a cathedral veil for less than $500, which I thought was ridiculous. I thought about making one, but the tulle that I found a local fabric stores wasn't as nice as the tulle I had seen on veils...I got lucky and found veilshop.com. The site looks hacky, but I swear, the veil was AWESOME! I noticed that they also sell tiaras. (just fyi, i am very fussy. I had a Reem Acra dress, and received lots of compliments on the veil) Then after the wedding, I turned around and sold the veil for pretty much what I bought it for. GL! If you want to see a pic, PM me.
