I tried to give DD this stuff three ways....direct in the mouth, mixed with milk, and mixed with food. She vomits it up (not spits it out) or refuses to eat it. Is there anything else I can do? Does your DC hate it? It stinks so I imagine it tastes bad as well. I know she needs it but I can't think of a way to get her to take it.

i mix it in apple juice so the flavor is masked....and i use a large sippy so it is diluted a ton. Also, the generic target brand isn't as strong in smell/flavor for some reason.

The stuff does smell horrible!!!  I just squirt it in her mouth, she makes a bad face, and she swallows it.  I don't give it to her all the time, b/c she seems to hate it.  A lot of pedi's don't say to give a baby vitamins, but mine did, so I try it.

My son was a preemie and is anemic so he HAS to take it. I put it in a nipple and sometimes he fights me, but eventually he just downs it. I BF him a little, give him the vitamins through a bottle nipple and then finish BF him. This way he doesn't have the vitamin taste in his mouth too long.

Once I dropped a little on my finger and just licked it off. That stuff is seriously the most disgusting stuff I have EVER tasted in my entire life. I give DS a lot of credit for taking it. Sometimes he just sucks it down without a fight. It likes he knows he needs it.
