What happened to giving posts stars?

I wanted to give the BWing gallery post below 5 stars but they are gone.  The Watch this Post thing was in the corner.  That used to be in the center with the stars in the left corner.  What happened and when?

I guess I missed all of that.  People were one starring posts five years ago when I was on the knot.  I liked them when they were used properly.  On occasion I would read something with a title I didn't have interest in because it was starred.  Oh well. Thanks!
