I've heard/read that sleeping on your left side is best and that's how I've been sleeping for a while. The past few days I've been waking up on my right side though. Either side is okay, right? Yes, I'm being paranoid.
I am still waking up sort of on my tummy, so I guess at some point your
body will correct you. I know that the left side is supposed to be the
best, but I feel like for thousands of years women have been figuring
out how to sleep while pregnant so your body knows what's best! You're
making the effort to condition yourself to sleep on the left so you're
in good shape. I think it might make more of a difference a couple of
months down the line when we're bigger.
All sides and I'm still sleeping on my back occasionally. Yes, the left side is the most optimal for blood flow, but you will not be causing any damage to the LO by sleeping any other which way.

Exactly. I've been sleeping on my left or right side. I constantly flip sides during the night.

I sleep on my life side because I love facing the wall when I sleep. If I try to sleep on my right, I have to spread out and then FI can't fit into the bed.
Last night I was getting BH and feeling dizzy so I kicked FI out of the bed and sprawled out on my right side just to be safe. Unless there is a problem I don't really think it makes a difference.

I sleep on my right side. Not only is it more comfortable, if I sleep on the left I face DH and then I have to share stankass air.

I lay down on one side (doesn't matter which) and have to flip over to the other before I can fall asleep. I don't really have a preference.. I've been waking up SUPER uncomfortable on my back I guess I'm a side, side, back sleeper lol

I fall asleep on my right side, but constantly flip between right and left throughout the night. Every once in a while I'll wake up on my back. I swear I sleep better on the couch than I do in bed these days.

I actually usually sleep on my left side, but that's just because that's the side of my nose that's normally cleared up. It's hard to switch sides and then my hip starts hurting and my arm falls asleep...I've never hated sleeping so much before! ha
I'm having the same problem lately! I wake up with my hip(s) aching and my arm asleep. Like someone else mentioned, couch sleeping is almost better/easier for me than sleeping in bed.
I remember being concerned with my first. I would barricade myself with pillow so I'd stay on my left, but I'd wake up a lot in pain (hips/back) and just plain uncomfortable.
I asked my OB and she said sleep however I was most comfortable. It is good for optimal blood flow, but since I wasn't having BP issues or things like that she didn't really care. Turns out, my right side was so much more comfortable, so I'd switch.
This time, I just do what ever is comfortable...sometimes my back (but not completely flat), and alternate sides. You're fine Your body will regulate itself if it needs better circulation and it'll tell you to move.
