Cloth Diapering

I'm going to have a huge bebe!

Just finished at the dr and the inside baby is big. Like almost 7.5 lbs big. This is huge to me because dd was early and only 5 lbs. I think I need to lay off the nb dipes...

  • :)  They kept telling me I was having a gigantor baby... and she was "normal" size 7lbs 8 oz.  We were in nb diapers for 2ish months.

Do you still want me to stalk the nb paisley?

  • Yay for "big" full term healthy babies! I had a 8lbs 10oz baby and while he looked tiny to me all the nurses kept saying how huge he was.

  • my daughter was estimated bigger than she actually was.

even at that weight, that's not too big of a baby, don't worry. there was someone on the goodmama facebook page who posted a pic of her 5 month old (i think) in a newborn goodmama.

I'm home now, so I can! Thank you, though. I'm trying to decide if I should even try for it because she'll be almost 6 weeks by the time I get it!

  • DS was 9 lbs 14 oz at birth.  No, I did not have GD.  Yes it took me over two hous to push his fattness out.  And yes, I tore.

  • They told me DD would be around 9lbs at 40 weeks based on the U/S we had at 36 weeks.  She was born at 40 weeks and was 8lb 14oz - pretty darn close!

Everyone kept telling me how those were always wrong, but it wasn't really for us.  GL!

  • My 39 week scan said DD was at least 9 pounds and she was born at 40 weeks (scheduled c-section) at 9 lbs 11 oz. She was huge -- my doctor was like 'OMG, look at her shoulders!!' in the OR.  She spent 2 days in the NICU and was the biggest baby there.

She never wore newborn sposie diapers or clothes. She did spend about 6-8 weeks in her newborn stash, although I had some that never fit her at all and by the end it was like she was wearing bikinis. Prefolds ftw!

  • DD was estimated at 9lbs a few days before she was born...at 8lbs 11oz, so not too far off.  She still fit into a lot of nb diapers for awhile though.  She's filling out now, but when she was first born I don't know where the weight was on her because she didn't look that big to me.
  • At 37 weeks, they estimated that DS was around 9lbs already!!  I had him at 39weeks, 4 days and he was 8lbs 7oz.  Still big, but I was expecting a HUGE baby!  FWIW, DS still wore newborn clothing and diapers.
