DH's tournament is in B'ham. If you guys get bored you could go watch...it is super fun...

 

I know Alabama is playing in the same tournament.

Ha, you wouldn't be being sarcastic at all there, would you?    Where is he playing?  I can't say that I've gone to any sporting events around here.  Well, I take that back... I did go see the Birmingham Barons once!  That's all we have, a minor league baseball team.  So sad.  I miss actually getting to go to see an NBA, MLB, or NFL game. 

I have never even used the free UAB football tickets we get.  Thankfully one of DH's coworkers and his gf are huge UAB fans, so we give them any tickets we get.

Um, I honestly don't even know. Somewhere over by The Summit I think.

I was going to go but since it is still so cold and I'm still sick I'm not. I'm going to go to the Mississippi State series in April instead.

 

You should go to a UAB basketball game! They are pretty decent!

Oh okay, I had no idea there was anywhere over there to play.  I'm clueless.  Lived here for 4 years but still don't know much about this city, it's so spread out in every direction.  Cleveland was so different since we were up against the lake, it contained things a lot more. 

Yes, it is so cold here today.  I have been coming in at 5:45 again this week (seriously, kill me now!) and having to walk across campus from my car to my building, my face was frozen!  I think the wind chill was in the teens.  I think you're very smart for not going today!! 

I haven't been to a UAB basketball game yet.  Might be something to check into.  Are they better than the football team?  I guess they kind of have to be, lol!

I think it may be just a little ways out on 459 but I'm really not sure. The only places in B'ham I know is The Summit, our clinic and Samford.

I have to walk a long ways across campus too and it SUCKS! Can't wait for winter to be over..

UAB basketball is much better than their football team! They have a shot of making it into the tournament this year!

We live off of 459 down past the Galleria mall.  Not sure if you've ever been there or not, it's a good-sized mall with a lot of outlying restaurants and strip malls around.

Oh wow, see I had no idea they were actually good.  Shows how much I know about UAB sports.  lol

I've never been to the Galleria but I have driven by it.

I really don't know, I'm pretty sure I'm talking out of my a*s. He told me the name of the place awhile back but I can't remember. I suck.

You should go to a game sometime, sounds like they are a pretty big deal up in that area!

Well, I hope he doesn't freeze too badly at his game today.  Though it's supposed to get up into the mid-40s eventually today.  Where did those 60-degree days go?!  They were just here!!  I want them back.

They actually aren't playing until tomorrow. The tournament starts today but the head coach didn't want to spend two nights up in B'ham so they are just playing Saturday and Sunday. They have a tournament here next weekend and I'm realllllllly hoping for some nice weather.

Ohh okay.  Well hopefully we'll have some better weather this weekend.  Not sure, I haven't even gotten to watch any news/weather since I've been getting up so early and DH is still asleep.
