I am trying to figure out the logistics of using CDs on the road. I am thinking that finding a laundromat and getting quarters would be a giant PITA. What do you do?
We don't, but I'm lazy and we often go where there aren't convenient laundry facilities. We may do it for an extended trip in April, as we will have laundry available in our house, and I'll be there with 2 other CDing mommas.
I travel with cloth but so far we haven't gone anywhere that hasn't had a washer/dryer. I think I'd still use cloth if I didn't have access and find a hotel that had a washer/dryer or laundromat. I really hate sposies though, I can't handle the smell or the fact DS gets a rash no mater what brand.
I think it will depend on where we're going and for how long. Like, going to my parent's house: cloth, they have a washer and dryer. Going to the cabin: cloth for 3 days or less, 'sposies if we plan to stay longer, as there is no laundry available.
Mostly when we travel, we're going to stay with family, and we can do laundry.
We have only gone where there is a washer/dryer and only by car, so we have CDed every time, but if there was no washer/dryer or we were going by plane, we would just use sposies. I am not against them on principle, I just prefer cloth.
When DD got a bad diaper rash and needed rash cream, it was hard for me to use sposies at first. I had to remember that cloth diapering is not a religion and that I am doing it because it is best for my baby and my family. In that situation, sposies were best for my baby, so I used them. Point being, do what is best for your baby and your family.

I've only used cloth on one trip because we drove otherwise we us sposies. I have gdiapers for travel, but last time I went to find the inserts at wholefoods they didn't sell them anymore and my local grocery store only had the small inserts so that was a fail.

It depends on how long the trip is. Any longer than 2 days, then no.

Hey, lady!
It's four days in Bermuda and I think they have a laundry service, but not laundry facilities. I don't have enough diapers to get through without washing.
I agree that if I were staying with family I'd use CDs.
I haven't used sposies in over 4 years. We use CDs no matter where we go. Though we don't travel all that often, but we take an annual week long ski-trip, and we most definitely CD there. We've had condos where we can wash in the unit, or we've also used coin-op facilities at the condo or a hotel.
