PW Apple Dumpling Recipe Question

Question for those who made the apple dumplings from the Pioneer Woman's website. It calls for a small can of Mtn Dew. I assume the "small" can is a 12 oz size? Or the really small 8 oz can? I'm going to be making them here shortly, I do have to cut the recipe in half because I only have one apple and one can of crescent rolls.

it is the tiny can.

I just substituted it for apple juice. Next time I will try the mini can of mt dew just to see if there is a huge difference..

It calls for the mini can, but I just used 1 cup of apple juice. I imagine any juice would work though.

 

Others that have used the mountain dew and the juice in seperate recipes have said that the juice tastes better

cut way down on the butter.  I nearly threw up from all the butter.  we threw them out b/c of that.
