Took my lil boys out - surprised how good they were!!

My boys have always seemed to hate their car seats, and anything new, especially new faces.  The last time I tried to take them out was about 4 weeks ago...  I took them for a walk w/ a friend, and they both had a meltdown, and I ended up in my friend's living room w/ both breasts out trying to calm them down.. UGH.  But yesterday I took them to a ladies' lunch, and had lots of girls available to hold/cuddle one while I breast fed the other.  They both LOVED it.  They were staring at everything with wide eyes and wonder, and smiling and grinning at all the new faces!!  It was wonderful....  and they were in such good moods when I brought them home, too!  They were really fussy that evening since they were probably really tired from not wanting to nap, but overall, it was a GREAT day, and not nearly as scary as I thought it would be.  And not nearly as bad as going out was when they were 2 months old.

That's terrific! It's so nice to get out of the house and have the babies behave. I found the more frequently I took the babies out in their carseats, the more they liked them. For a few weeks in the fall, we hardly every took them out, and then when we did, they screamed in their seats. But, a few weeks later, we started taking them out in the car everyday, and they stopped getting so upset. Now, we hardly ever have any crying in the car.
