At this point...(

If anything falls to the ground, well heck, it might as well have fallen down a black hole. It is gone, I obviously didn't need it, that hair tie is dead to me.

Anyone else have silly little signs that you are too pregnant to care anymore?

Re: At this point...(

  • My dog has learned that if I call her in when she's barking outside and she ignores me I no longer have the energy/desire to chase her down and make her come in so she no longer listens to me. When DH calls her, she comes running, but for the bloated tired lady?  Nah.

  • lol.

I had to say "at this point, being at work isn't worth it anymore." I had every intention of working til I went into labor, but after Mon/Tue on my feet all day and coming home limping, I told them I was done.

This, exactly! I was scheduled to work through Friday, but yesterday I left 3 hours early and told them this morning I wasn't coming back. Saw my ob this morning, and she agreed, looking at how swollen my feet are (even though I'm a counselor, sitting with my feet dangling in meetings/groups/counseling sessions all day was not helping at all. I'm sure being on my feet would have been even worse, so major kudos to you ladies who have to be on your feet!) I felt guilty for maybe a minute. Now I just feel soooo glad to be home and resting.

That made me crack up!  Its so true.. When I drop something.. b/c I feel like I drop everything now..  I stop, and stare at it.. I guess saying goodbye to it, and just move on.  The dog, who never gets human food, is now being allowed to eat whatever I drop on the floor... b/c I can't bend down to pick it up.

  • If I drop something on the floor I try to pick it up with my feet.  If that doesn't work I yell for my hubby!!

Also, my hubby puts my UGGS on every day because it is ridiculous to try to pull them on.

He has even tried to put tights on me because I was huffing and puffing so much.

Thank goodness for a sweet, compassionate hubby!!!!

I am lucky to have one of these as well. Yesterday I was able to put my own socks on (because LO was in a good position for once!) and he cheered for me. Right now, even though I am off work, I get up and get ready for the day while he does because if he leaves for work before I am dressed I am stuck in jammies. He comes home at the end of the day to find all of the little "black hole items." Such a caring guy! We are lucky!

  • This is so funny! I feel the same way! I drop something, stop and stare at it and move on also. It is like I debate for half a second whether I am going to attempt to pick it up and then decide its not worth it. My dog also ignores me now when he is outside barking his little head off.

Oh well! We don't have too long to go!!

My dog has recently earned the nickname Hoover for this very reason.  When ever I yell, Hoover!, she comes running and picks up whatever food item I just dropped.
