My DD thinks she owns the TV

So, DD watched an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  When it was over, I took the remote and started setting up all of our winter shows in the DVR.  DD started crying hysterically.  It was funny, the drama.  I asked her "Why are you crying?"  She says...hands on hips..."I cry 'cause you (hi)jack the (re)mote!  I no like you Mama!"  I died laughing.  Don't do that in front of an indignant kid.  It makes the drama intensify.  She threw herself on the floor and put on the biggest hissy until I found a kid show for her to watch.  Thinking the TV needs more off time than it is on.  I need to jack that mote more often, apparently.  Ahhh kiddos.

  • LOL! I love that she says you jacked it :) I can only imagine the drama - Fin doesn't even watch tv yet, but he gets so mad when I take the remote from him!

This EXACTLY! DD will wake up in the morning, comes into our room, and immediately ask for Diego, Mickey, or "Map" (Dora) which we don't have DVR'd on our TV in the bedroom.  If we are watching anything in the living room and she is awake she brings us the remote and repeatedly says Diego, Map, or Mickey until we turn it on.  I'll usually tell her that they all went to sleep so they aren't on right now. lol.

  • I love that she said jack the mote! :)
