Carrier, Please help me decide.

I am buying a baby gift for a friend. 

She is about 5'7" and usually wears a size 18 or so, she also has a larger chest. 

Which would you get, a Boba or Ergo carrier?   I have the Ergo and I like it, but DH cannot wear it comfortably because it is too small (thus I posted the size info).  I am concerned that if I buy the ergo it will be too small and too late to return it by the time she would really need it. 

Any advice?  I hate to waste money on something she won't be able to use, but think that she would love a carrier for walking her dogs and in and out of the store.

    The Boba can't be used until the baby is older atleast 15lbs.  The Ergo can be used from birth.  The Boba's waist band is larger than the Ergo I belive though.

    Maybe a Pikkolo, an Olives & Applesauce or a Beco might work better.  CatBird is having a sale this weekend I believe so you might be able to get a great deal on a Pikkolo.

    Another thought would be maybe getting a wrap or a ring sling for her.
