What to buy a 1 year old girl?

I know this is a repeat post (I couldn't find the previous post as I'm Bumping from my phone).

I am going to a 1 year old little girls birthday party this weekend.  I was thinking of buying her some books, any suggestions out there what their DD favorite books are to read?

Or if you have any other suggestions, I would love to hear them

Libby loves "Whose Toes Are Those?" and "Kiss, Kiss" a lot. She also likes this trio of Raibow Fish Books: Counting, Colors and Opposites.

She also LOVES her B. Parum Pum Pum Drum!

I love to give books as gifts!    My favorite is Love You Forever...I found it on the bookshelf at my dentist?s office.  I HAD to get it for my niece when she was born.    I also try to find toys that help with motor development.

Thank you for the recs Lori!  That's so funny you mentioned the drum because that is usually our default 1 year old gift for our friends and the kids LOVE it!  Too fun.  Thanks again for your book suggestions

the exact gift I'm getting for J's little friend that turns 1 this weekend:

Where is Baby's Birthday Cake  (J loves this Katz lift the flap books)

Your Birthday Book: A Keepsake Journal this one is hard to find in stores to preview (MIL bought J one at Land of Nod, but I had to amazon order the one bought as a gift) but it is really cute.  You are suppose to fill it out each year and it has really good, age appropriate stuff, once the child is more verbal it has "interview" questions.  Lots of pockets for keepsakes and places for pictures.  I know you could easily do a personalized memory book, but I'm much better at fill in the blank stuff so I love it.

oh holy cuteness!  This book looks precious.  I am definitely going to order one for A's bday & I am trying to think of others I could by it for.  It looks perfect!

We bought Elyse the Violet leap frog dog and she adores it!

This is the book that the Kindermusik instructor read to the kids at Libby's party while her assistant set up the table and chairs for cake. So cute!
