Symptoms of GD

If you have GD, did you have any symptoms prior to being tested? I have my one hour in a few weeks and my doc told me it was up to me wether I fasted or not. Did you have to fast?

No, I wouldn't say I had symptoms per say, And I didn't fast before the 1 hour but I would recommend doing it for a couple hours maybe. I did come out to have GD but I think my meal of waffles affected my results before my 1 hour..Hope this helps..

No, you don't really have to fast with the one hour. If it comes out high the DR will usually recommend you go to have the 3 hour test. With the 3 hour test yes you will have to fast.

No, I had no idea.

My dr had me fast 2 hours before the 1 hr test.  And I ate a high protein meal before that.  STill failed though

I had extreme fatigue before being diagnosed with GD. I skipped the one hour and went immediately to the 2 hour test. I had to fast for that test. I've been told you don't have to test for the one hour.
