UGH. Why is it that not a day goes by when someone gives a new mama horrible baby advice on facebook?

No, she should not let her baby CIO all night when he is three weeks old. If you (directed at the awful woman who gave this advice) did it to your kids, I hope they feel super detached from you their whole lives.

I had already responded to the OP, but then sent a private message to my friend telling her NOT to listen to that woman. I think she knows, but still - she's in a sleep-deprived, PPD fog right now and I don't want her to do something dumb with her poor newborn.

Good God!  3 weeks!?!  Lauren, if the new mom takes her up on it, lemme know and I'll go steal the baby and love it lots.

At 3 weeks.......wow.    The only time you would let a baby cry at 3 weeks would be if you really need to go potty yourself or you need to step away for a minute or two to regain composure when getting frustrated.
