How often can I give Tylenol for teething?

DS has been teething for weeks and it's wreaking havoc on his sleep. If he really seems to be in pain (pulling on his ears and crying), I give him a dose of Tylenol before bed. Can I do this every night? I haven't been, because I feel like that's too much (although he only gets one or two doses in a 24-hour period), especially if this continues for several more weeks. I also have Hyland's Teething Gel, but it doesn't seem to help as much as the Tylenol.

  • Our DD is getting a lot of relief from ice.  We got a little mesh net feeding contraption from BRU (made by Sassy), it's designed to hold bits of food and let baby suck them thru the mesh, and it works great with ice.  She can hold it up to her mouth and suck away without any danger of choking, anf it seems to calm her down pretty quickly!
