died a hard death last night when it got thrown in the toilet by a crazy little boy! I tried leaving it overnight in a bowl of rice and it still won't turn on anymore.  I think I'm going to give it until around 3:01am and if it's not back to life I'm ordering an iphone!  Ok, not really, but I want one.  Does anyone know how much they are if you are not eligible for an upgrade?  I'm trying to convince DH that it needs to be my birthday present since I'm turning 30 in a week and a half!

I'm pretty sure they are the same price regardless of whether you are eligible for an upgrade or not - no discount.  I'm in the market for a new phone as well and the pros and cons of all the phone types are killing me.

There was a really good segment on the news last week about getting an iPhone through Verizon.  They cautioned people to wait for several reasons.

1 - There is an iPhone5 coming out in the summer

2 - Verizon hasn't worked out all the kinks

3 - They aren't sure if Verizon's network can support all the iPhone craziness that is going to ensue.  (They said it took AT&T a long time to build a big enough network to support the iPhone and it was a miserable experience for all in the beginning)

I can't find the article and I'm sure they had more to say.  I really want an iPhone but I'm not due for an upgrade until the summer so I'm going to hold off.  Hopefully by then everything will be worked out.

Good luck with whatever you decide!  I am the most indecisive person and buying a phone can put me over the edge
