**Dayton Gals** Suggestions for where to have 3rd bday party?

Hey Ladies!

I can't believe it's time to start planning Madelyn's 3rd birthday party. Holy schneikees... time flies!

Can anyone please suggest a location that could be rented for an inexpensive fee (not BounceU, as I'm not ready to take that plunge, yet.) Stick out tongue One of my friends said Kettering Rec has party rooms?? We are having DD's party 2 wks. before her bday because DD #2 is due 1 week after her bday, so I'm afraid of not making it full-term again this time.

I won't use my house again because it's too small, we're trying to keep it clean since it's for sale, and I will be a mess "nesting" for the new baby to arrive.

If you made it this far, thanks so much!! I appreciate any suggestions. We are doing a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme since DD is obsessed with it. (I just wish I could rent a park shelter and be done with it!) Sigh.

  • You can rent a room at the Yellow Springs community center for free.  It's one larger room with tables and chairs.  My sister used that several years for my nephew.  What about Young's Dairy?  They do parties there too but I'm not sure how much it is.

  • Depends what you are thinking.  Marions (pizza place) is where we are probably going to have Cedrics 2nd birthday party.  I know the one by the Dayton Mall has a big room to rent.  Chuck E Cheese if you are going to have a lot of kids, again the one by Dayton Mall is great (but that might not be what you are looking for since Bounce U is out).  Donatos also has a room to use, but it isn't very large, just depends on how many people I guess.

Hmm...I think all my suggestions are pizza related!

  • What about Rollandia in Kettering? They have a soft-play area, an arcade, and they serve food. I also went to a party last year at Stillwater Creek Methodist church. They have a large soft-play area and a party room outside of it, and it's not attached to the church in any obvious way. It's up on Frederick Pike, but you can just drive through Dayton to get to it. You can reserve it on weekends.

There are no pictures on the webpage but it's very nice and new.

  • I will second Stillwater's soft play area. That is where I wanted to have DD's 1st birthday but it was booked when I wanted it. It is pretty nice and has an area with chairs and a small bar. I want to think it was $80-$100 for 3 hours.
