How about gifts for a 4 year old's bday?

Sorry to 'steal' from the post below..

But DH and I realized today we aren't quite sure what to get DD for her 4th bda.  She loves puppies (we can't get a real one), so I got her a Furreal puppy (the small one) and we'll probably take her to build a bear (they have a new puppy line.. I'm 99% sure she'll want one).

The only other stuff I can think of is a cash register, block puzzles, PJs, and some books.. any other ideas?

    My son is turning 4 this weekend. We were not sure what to get him either because he has so much stuff (toys, books, blocks, etc).  Anyway, we got him a Leapfrog Leapster Explorer.  We hope he likes it.  He seemed really interested when we saw it at TRU and we have a few trips coming up so that can keep him entertained.

    DS received Hot Wheels monster jam trucks for Christmas (the largest size, Rev Tredz and the mini size)  DD played wth them SO much that I bought her one of each -- they the same style, pink and say "Scarlet Bandit"  They sell them in target $11, $6 and $4 -- she and her brother have so much fun racing them on the floor -- they FLY -- and the medium size one is really neat because it's like the old school ones that you pull back and it goes on its own, except this one you just have to push very lightly.  Just in case you're looking for somehtng different -- we have a lot of fun as a family racng and playing with these, I don't thnk I would have bought ths for DD if I didn't have a DS -- and she loves them so much.  If you're looking for girly, the Melissa and Doug Ice cream parlor set (we bought 2, one cone  for each member of the famly) is also a big hit.
