Best job searching tools

My H has a BA in Criminal Justice and has spent the last three years working as a collector for student loans. Our field sucks to get into because of such low pay. His company has made some changes and they are lowering their bonus'. He makes next to nothing without them and we rely on his bonus'. He needs a new job badly and I'm stressing. I've never really 'looked' for work. I've always had a job and if not another one has presented itself to me while I was still employeed. What kinds of tools do you ladies use? Any recommendations or ideas?

Re: Best job searching tools

  • My field is totally different, but I always looked in the paper, monster.com, or on websites of companies that I knew would hire people in my field.  GL to your DH, job hunting is not fun.
  • Thanks. I don't know where to start. I hate job hunting!

  • Ive had decent luck with careerbuilder. I sent out a bunch of resumes and I've been called for 4 interviews and offered 2 jobs but they weren't what I wanted. Hopefully your DH will have better luck than me, but definitely check out Careerbuilder and Monster
