i realize that she probably got nervous and messed up the lyrics. but wow. so humiliating.

and the social world is aflutter with them commenting on her weight gain, too.

They had Lea Michelle (did I spell that right?) sing.  She did a great job!

I personally don't think it's as big a deal that Christina messed up.  It happens.  Maybe she got flustered or something?? 

Embarrassing?  Yes.  Big Deal?  I don't think so.

They picked Christina because of the new movie se was just in, Burlesque.  And she is an amazing singer, so she had an off day, it happens.  Coming from a singers perspective, singing the national anthem is one of the hardest things to do.  I had to sing it all the time in high school and once in Seattle for a state football game, and it was packed.  It is nerveracking no matter what level of singing you are at.  Also The Star Spangled Banner is a very difficult piece of music as it is.  Also I think Jennifer Hudson sang it a few years ago.

Dude, I wish I could sing like Christina and I noticed she gained a little weight too, but I thought she l looked great last night. I just wish she'd lighten up on the make up a bit.

When I heard her mess the lyrics up, I stopped and looked at my husband and was like did she just screw them up? She will never live this one down.

I can't help it I think that if you are supposedly that high a caliber of a singer, if you are paid as much as she certainly was... there is NO excuse to mess up the National Anthem of all songs.

oh i agree. i just feel like people are attacking her for her weight in the middle of all of this and it's totally uncalled for.

I thought she kinda looked like a drag queen.... As far as messing up, The Star Spangled Banner is probably the worst song to fudge the words on and I think it is pretty horrible.

Honestly I did not even notice the mess up last night until everyone made such a big deal. I think its ridiculous how blown up it has gotten. I think sheis talented but looked ridiculous with all that red lipstick and she annoys me with her runs. And its sad that lea michele was so good last night but everyone is too busy talking about christina that she is not getting recognition.

he's an amazing singer who flubbed words to a song, who cares?  Look, at least she's not Ashley Simpson, who not only (1) got Boo'd at the Superbowl in Scottsdale, but also (2) f-ed up on SNL by pulling a Millie Vanilli!  Simpson deserves flack, yes.  Aguilera? I don't think so. She's the only one of the pop people who has true talent!

 

Her hair was a little trashy (bad blonde job), but as I said on Sunday, thats Christina for ya   And the red lips, ugh, not exactly how I would handle it.  Who here remembers, "Dirrrty"?

 

She has some weight gain, but who cares?  She was anorexic looking before.  In all honesty, you try taking a pic/video from below and see how your chin looks, flattering angle? I think not.
