Anyone else still haven't felt baby?

I know with me being plus size it would take a little longer but I really would like to feel the baby move or kick or something... Going to Dr tomorrow and they are doing another U/S so at least i'll get to see that everything is ok...

Just wondering if I'm the only one out there???

Re: Anyone else still haven't felt baby?

  • I do feel her now, but I was nearly 22 weeks before I felt what I knew was movement...maybe you have an anterior placenta like me?!?!

You're not the only one to feel nothing at 21 weeks though so don't worry!

  • Today is only the third day that I have felt anything for sure.  Nothing from the outside yet- just flip-flopping sensations inside (the flutters everyone mentions I guess).  I have heard it could be 22-24 weeks for some ladies to feel movement so it is normal.  Hang in there- you'll feel your LO eventually!

  • I think I may have felt movement a few times, but I'm only positive that one was baby.  It was over a week ago and since then, nothing that could even possibly be baby.  I can't wait for movement to pick up.
  • I feel nothing.  Some days, I pretend to feel things, to make me feel better about myself, but I think it's really just my shirt tickling my belly or something.  I wish I was feeling what everyone else is, too.  =(  I am slightly over weight and was told I have a "slightly anterior" placenta that wraps around the top to the front.

  • I'm almost 24 weeks and it's only been the last week or 2 that I've really felt much.  It's not uncommon to go that long without feeling much.  Try not to worry.  I'm sure you'll see everything is just fine tomorrow.

  • I found out last week that I have an anterior placenta.  Not sure yet if I am feeling the baby.  Sometimes I think I am, but not really sure.  I hope I know for sure in the next couple of weeks.

  • Almost 21 weeks here.. haven't felt the baby for certain yet. I do get these awesome electric shock pains in my belly and nether regions though... and I have seen my baby girl kicking and moving (just last week) but still haven't felt anything that I KNOW to be her.

  • I've only felt movement (that I was actually sure about) for the last couple of days but even then it's once a day, maybe twice. It's not a lot but it makes me smile. It'll happen! Just gotta be patient!

  • Nothing that I've noticed at least.  I do know the baby is active in there though, based on my last appt. last week.  The doctor had to move the stick thingy around to keep up with the baby it was moving so fast!
  • i haven't felt anything yet either and i don't have anteriror placenta (asked at my U/S last week)...but I am a little overweight so that's probably why it's taking longer.

i'm sure we'll start to feel something in the next few weeks!!

PS - I just sent you a PM!

  • i didn't feel consistent, definite movement until 22 weeks and since then i have loved every minute of it.  don't worry, it'll happen.  some women don't feel much until much later.

  • I haven't felt anything and I am told it is because of an anterior placenta.  From what I understand, it is perfectly normal not to experience movement until 22-24 weeks.
  • I haven't felt anyting, either. (Well, about a week ago, I felt a poke I thought *could* be the baby, but it was so quick and only happened that once...) I was a little worried, but I was a little overweight, too, and he was moving around like crazy at the ultrasound on Thursday, so I am just going on faith that all is well and I'll feel him soon!

  • That would be me.  Apparently I, too, have an anterior placenta.  I had my 20-week appointment Friday...doctor told me give it a few more weeks.
