Vacation with a 2 - 4 month old - Recommendations?

I need a vacation and while right not is obviously not the best time, I am thinking June, before going back to work, might not be bad.  I would like to make it Addy's first vacation with us, so we want to take both kiddos.  Any suggestions not only on where we could go (driving vs. flying would be best, I think) but also where to stay?  We didn't take Eli on vacation until he was 14 months old, so I am lost.

are you wanting to drive or fly?  we've done weekend trips to Indy and St. Louis and they were both fun for DS1 and would've been doable with a LO.
