need some advice!

So I need to get my pregnancy confirmed by a doctor or a nurse for the state health insurence program for pregnant moms.  Should I go to urgent care and or go to an obgyn?

I ask this because my DH and I moved to a new state for work and i dont have a doctor here yet.  but i think i know what obgyn practice i will go to just not what doctor yet (gotta see who has an opening for a new patient)

Suggestions?

    Lurking from June 2011: My midwife/ob office did it for free. call around and see if there's anywhere near there that will confirm your pregnancy (dr. office) and ask how much it would cost. Honestly, my office was like "What? Its free and doesn't go to insurance," so I hope this helps!

    In KY, the health dept is free & will sign you up for WIC and medical card when you go in.
