Is there anyone that was in the same situation? I was given a turb shot and it worked but was wondering if you had a similar situation, when did you give birth to your LO's and how long were they in the nicu for? thank you so much guys
I had DS at 24w5d in 2008. I got pregnant with DD when he was a little over 8 months old and because of my complications with DS I was given weekly p17 shots and had a cerclage done at 16 weeks with DD.
I ended up hospitalized for 5 days at 30 weeks for "pre-term contractions". I was put on Mag (shoot me now!) and stuck in the hospital for 5 days until they were sure they had stopped. I was discharged, sent home and made it to my scheduled c-section at 36w3d.
Good luck!

I had my daughter due to hellp/pre e so I can't comment on the contractions. She was born at 30 w 4d. She weighed 2lb 5oz (she was iugr due to the pre e). She spent 69 days in the nicu. She was on the vent of 12 hours, cpap for 3 days, and nasal canula for a few weeks. She was never on oxygen just room air. She is 18 months and doing very well. She is small for her age and has met her milestones according to her adjusted age. Her only real problem is she is delayed in talking right now. I hope that baby keeps cooking for a good long while.

I PPROM-ed with dd (34 weeker- she was in the NICU for 2 weeks) so I can't tell you about that, but I did have contractions at 33 weeks with ds. I was given the terb shots and they didn't work. I had to have a mag drip. That did the trick. I was put on bedrest and I delivered him at 38 weeks!.
Hope you can keep cooking that LO for as long as possible!
I had our LO at 30 weeks. The turb shots didn't work for us. I started contractions and had him the next day.
He was in the nicu for 7 weeks and had no issues other than needing to learn to eat from a bottle. I have heard it is often when the baby would be around 37 weeks that they are released. It just depends on when they can regulate their body temp, eat, and breathe.
Thanks for asking this because I have also been having issues with bad BH's and have been getting weekly injections to help out. I went into labor with DS #1 at 30 weeks and was sent to L&D for 3 nights and ended up holding out until 37wks with the help of STRICT bedrest, but I am now having issues again and am wondering if I should go in or not. The BH's have been on going all day. At one point I had 6 in 35 minutes!!! But the pain and discomfort of them has lessened. I hope that our babies can stay put and cook for a few more weeks atleast. Good Luck

i hope you went to the hospital!! 6 in 35 minutes is no joke. you could be dilating with these contractions keep me updated!
This is me, today! I went in this morning with a little cramping and very light spotting and once I was hooked up to the machine, it showed contractions I wasn't even feeling! I got 3 turb shots and that seemed to do the trick. Got sent home with directions to "take it easy". My cervix was also open slightly.

I have a friend that was given terb at 31 weeks (almost delivered) and ended up going to term.
I started to dilate at 23 weeks without contractions because I have an incompetent cervix - got contractions at 25th week and delivered at 26.
I think everyone is different! I hope you make it to term!
