its so busy that it doesn't need more "ooompf" that pink would give it.  Plus since the pink design is round, the round buttons might detract from the design??

Where are the buttons going - at the back of the neck to tie?  I'd do black.  I wouldn't do any kind of button in the front if possible.  It's really cute as it is.

Made it this morning for Sam.  Made plain black leggings to go with it.  I think I've been staring at it too long, I can't decide on the buttons lol  It looks a little frumpy lying there, it's cute on her, really....
