her first year is gone with the wind...and frankly, my dear, we DO give a damn
join us for a BBQ celebrating Scarlett's first birthday
FIDDLE DEE DEE!
YES! That's awesome. And you'd have to track down the old Barbie as Scarlett doll for the cake topper.
lol... I already have that Barbie doll. I collect Barbies and that is one of my faves. Of course, she's never left her box. I'd like to get the other 3 and Rhett, too, for Scarlett eventually.

I will only ridicule and harass you if you do not provide periodic updates re: the planning of the 1st Birthday Party of the Century Will provide us lots of fun for the year!!!
Oh, run with this one, girl... Love it.
Oh, and you haven't spent any time thinking about the invite wording, have ya?
Hooray - actually the wording prompted this because I really really wanted to use "and frankly, my dear, we DO give a damn" on her invites no matter the theme because it cracks me up. At first I thought it'd be kind of funny and only some people would really get it, but then I was like, wait a minute, I could do a whole GWTW theme! I figure this is the only year I could get away with it since she's destined to hate GWTW since she is named after Scarlett O'Hara and I love it so much.

Haa haa -- oh, this is going to be so.much.fun!!!!
Start shopping for the dress now... in fact, she really should have at least two or three. One for the party, one for the cake photos, and then a final dress change for the post-cake hoopla
This is going to be out of hand, but I'm going to start doing stuff early (as in buying decorations and such) because my 30th b-day, Scarlett's 1st b-day and Jackson's 5th b-day are within 3 week time period. That way I can spread out purchases, because I know the hubster is going to be crying in his beer over the costs of all these things right by each other.
And I'll def keep the updates coming!

Excellent plan! Ooh, I'm excited for you Hee hee - partay!!!!
Re: will y'all make fun of me if...
OMG. You could totally have a dress made for her out of fabric similar to Scarlett's curtain dress.
I will only make fun of you if I am not invited.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Yes. Mercilessly.
But she needs a dress made from curtains if you do it.
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
bubbly, OF COURSE!
I'm leaning more towards using some of Scarlett's more prosperous days - like the Twelve Oaks bbq. Not the velvet curtains, lol.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
it could be so deliciously cheesy...

Me too. B/c this itself was so fab I will not laugh.

I love GWTW. I always loved the name Katie Scarlett for a daughter. Really. Sometimes I regret not doing it.
I'm so not a girly girl, but I just always loved Scarlett and her awesome dresses.
it's on! I already told MH.
I'm going to go nuts with this.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Me and my WT self have never even seen GWTW.
That's one of those movies that you watch in your southern mansion, me thinks.
So yes, this is WAY over the top for me and corny as all get out. But I love corny so go with it!
quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn.
about the birthday theme.
i kid.
so you could dress jackson up as one of the courting twins from the barbecue in his confederate best.

**giddy with excitement for you**
e.g., **dress to be worn while eating cake**
haha! The dress(es) are going to be a huge part of the day, for sure.
I was thinking of doing something like this, monogrammed w/ kelly green thread and a kelly green ribbon, but with a wider skirt.
and maybe putting a green pettiskirt under it if I have it custom made big enough to fit one:
OH! And a local place has Scarlett's Red Velvet cupcakes. We're so getting some of those.
Love, love, LOVE it!!! And you have to go with the petticoat. You have to.
Oh yes.... keep the updates coming
