had my baby!

Caroline Grace showed up at 2:37 pm.  7lbs, 9oz. (2 whole pounds smaller than Kate!).

I started having contractions around 1 this morning. By 6, they were painful and 4-5 minutes apart. Got admitted around 7 and was at 5cm. Got the epi around 9 (sheer bliss - mad props to med free mamas...it hurt!) water broke around 11.  I started pushing around 1, but everytime I pushed her heartrate dropped. Turns out she had the cord around her neck and was laying on it, so pushing was making her compress it. So to the OR we went :(. I am disappointed but I'm glad I tried.

    Congratulations! I'm sorry she didn't quite make it out the way you had hoped but am glad to hear all is well. Rest up and enjoy your babe.

    Congrats on your LO. Don't be hard on yourself, it was medically necessary for LO to come up by C. You gave VBAC a great effort and whats most important is that you are both healthy.

    So glad Baby Caroline is here!  I hope your recovery is going well.  HR decels and cords around the neck can be scary.  C/S absolutely have their place in bringing babies here safely.  Congratulations and I'm so proud of you for trying the VBAC!!!
