Time for a party?

Hi - I'm planning DS's 2nd bday party and I'm not sure what time to have it.  I was thinking 3pm (on a Saturday), so that it's after his nap, and then I'd serve pizza for an early dinner around 4:30/5pm.  It's mostly a family party, but he will have a couple of friends there.  Is 3pm too late?  What's a common time for a bday party?

Re: Time for a party?

  • I think 3pm is a great time for a party.  Easy to feed dinner if you want and after naps:)  I would think that it would work for most people.

What time did you serve the pizza?  Was the party on a Saturday?

  • We had DD's 1st birthday at 2 pm & it worked great.  We had a pool party & bbq.  I don't think 3pm is too late.  It is a Saturday & it works with his schedule and that is what matters most.
