Trying to Get Pregnant

Testing early!

Tomorrow, I am going to go against better judgment and test at 11 DPO (possibly 12, FF has been weird this cycle). I'm going with my best friend tomorrow to pick a maid of honor dress for her wedding and I'd love to know if I should be looking in the maternity section! (A BFP this cycle would make me 7 months at her wedding).

Here's the dilemma. All I have in the house are two Clear blue easy digitals. Some places I've seen makes it seem like digis are less sensitive, and other places make it seem like there isn't much of a difference.  So, should I be stopping by the store on the way home to get some FRERs?

  • I've heard both as well.
Also wanted to say "hi" to a fellow Central New Yorker! (I live outside Watertown now, but I'm from Syracuse)

  • I have also heard both, but more frequently hear that digital is not as sensitive.

  • I vote for you to get something else and save the digi to confirm. I am 11dpo today and on FF the "results per brand" of hpts show that CVS has the highest % of +'s @ 11dpo (64.7%) FR comes in with 49.4

take that for what its worth. good luck whatever you do!! :O)

This, but and I did get a BFP 10 DPO on a FRER.  Good Luck and make sure to test with the FMU.

  • From personal experience, I think digitals are VERY sensitive.  For my 2nd pregnancy, I got a + first thing in the morning and went to get a beta that same day in the early afternoon.  My beta came back at 9!!  Yep, the thing read a 9 even though I think I've read elsewhere it is only sensitive to 20-50 or something.  It was my FMU, so if you decide to do it, use FMU.  Good luck!  I hope "pregnant" pops up for you!!

    TTC #3 - 4 cycles - no BFP yet!
  • Thanks for the advice and a big hello to my fellow CNYer! I'm going to the grocery store now to pick up a few things and will probably take a walk down the "feminine needs" aisle and at least think about picking up a FRER.

Either way, I'm testing tomorrow at 6:30am! Fingers crossed for my BFP!!
