Hi every one. I'm new to all of this... Me and my husband have decided to start a family so we have just started trying... any advice, tips, I'm excited to be on this new journey but I'm also a little scared... which should be expected, right?
Pick up the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility (TCOYF). It's very informative and will help you understand how your body works. Also, go to FertilityFriend.com and take the tutorials. Learn how to temp and chart so that you better understand when you ovulate.
Look through the last several pages of posts before asking a question. Your question may have already been asked. Also, don't ask if we think you're pregnant, because obviously no one can know that but you and a pregnancy test.
There is a FAQ and a Bump Glossary on the bottom left of the page to answer any other questions.
Lastly, lurk on the boards until you find one that you're comfortable with. Write a post introducing yourself. We appreciate knowing who's asking or answering posts.
Congratulations!

Advice and tips depends on how aggressive you want to be with TTC. Some people just have a lot of unprotected sex and see how it goes. Some see a dr for a pre-conception appointment and go from there. Some go full bore with charting and OPKs. It's up to you how you want to proceed.
I would suggest heading over to the Trying to Get Pregnant board. Read the link at the top of the page titled "New to TTGP? Read This!" and then introduce yourself.
It is your choice on what path you want to take when TTC, but I would recommend at least charting so you can see what is going on with your body. If you click on the link in my siggy it will take you to Fertility Friend, which is a GREAT website that lets your chart and will also send you TTC lessons in your email.

Hello. I'm also new. I have been stalking the bump for a while, but finally decided to join. I love the camrarderie and all of the awesome advice and tips. This will be our first month of TTC. AF just came yesterday, and I have never been so happy to see her. lol. I can't wait to use my OPK.
Question totally unrelated to TTC. How do you get your ticker pasted to your posts? I always have to copy and paste the code. Is there an easier way?
Good luck to you, and welcome!
