hi all,
so after tons of reading, researching, talking with MH and the OB, talking with wother with CPP, praying, etc, i had decided to proceed with the amnio at week 37 with the cs scheduled for the day afterwards.
please no fb-ing if we are fb friends.
so our tentative cs date is 2/23. if the amnio results come back "lungs not mature" then the cs will be rescheduled the following week with no additional amnio testing.
we had to go with an out of network dr. for so many reasons:
1) the dr. is in a good area somewhat close to our house and our hospital
2) the dr. can get the test results to my OB by the following day before the scheduled cs
3) our insurance will pay 80% of the cost and we're responsible for 20%, so it's not too bad. we'll use our flex plan.
4) the dr. is available.
other drs. that my OB contacted are booked, far, aren't sure if they get the results back in time, etc.
so that's where we're at. i'm feeling a bit relieved that there's a plan. of course, i have to just get to those 2 days and keep everything in for the next 2 1/2 weeks. yikes. 2 1/2 weeks!!!!!
thank you all for your support and encouragement

thanks again all!
so the insurance company called me this morning, and that doesn't take into consideration the allowed amount for out of network providers. so yikes. but again, luckily the out of pocket would be for the amnio procedure only and the cs would be with my OB who is in network.
the insurance co. suggested that i contact the pre-cert hotline to request a PPO waiver considering the non-monetary factors that contributed to our decision to go this route.
worst case scenario, we'll use our health spending account to pay for the amnio procedure since we factored in "emergency costs."
either way, i have faith everything will work out. so, i'm still saying, yay!!!!
oh and btw, i didn't use my real name (jenn) on fb. i'm listed under jasmine instead. hahahah
