Downs and Trisomy Testing, anyone else think it's a scam!?

Anyone else a little frustrated when it comes to these tests?

 I did the early test just cause I'm a first time mom, I'm 26 with no history of downs..I got normal results for downs, 1:6,400 then 1 in 280 (cut off is 200) for the trisomy test my doctor called and said,"don't worry--but can you come in today and get your 2nd trimester blood work done again asap (OH, BUT DON'T WORRY)."

Then today again with my results my downs we to 1:350 (the cut off for a positive result is 1:200) she said the same thing, well your results are okay but you need to go get another screening done asap "just to be sure, but don't worry" it's just frustrating that they have a cut off, or a "normal" number and even if you are above it they try rush you in for more testing. Especially since I've met my doctor ONE TIME, she has NEVER seen the baby I've seen her 3 times via ultrasound and I have another scheduled for next week? Frustrated and it seems like most people I read about worry worry like me for no reason. UGH!

What hospital are you going to??! I had all the screening tests done but they are just routine tests done at regular ultrasound/ lab appointments, no rush no worrying from the dr. After the testing a genetic counselor at the fetal ultrasound clinic in the hospital would just come in and explain the results every time. They did not involve my ob at all and I was never rushed to do more testing.
